What do you consider to be an unhealthy relationship? Give an account where this has occurred?

1. An unhealthy relationship is constituted by the absense of trust and transparency and other important values. Transparency refers to openness in the relationship where each individual is told everything about the other. However,the epitomy of an unhealthy relationship is constant arguments. This is illustrated through Mrs.Morel in the book 'Sons and Lovers.' Her unhappy marriage caused by painful arguments which lead to painful results such as her being locked out of the house.Their relationship is an example of an unhappy one.


Define the term Odepus Complex?

2. Oedipus complex,according to 'The New World Encyclopedia,' " is a stage in the psycho-sexual development of the child which explains the origin of certain neurosesa functional disorder in which feelings of anxiety, obsessional thoughts, compulsive acts, and physical complaints without objective evidence of disease, in various degrees and patterns, dominate the personality) in childhood.



What are your views on this type of behavior?

3.This type of behaviour,in my view,is psychological. The source of such behaviours in a child is at home and therefore is nothing punishable.I believe that parents should be held accountable for such behaviour.




In Antigua we see older men taking advantage of younger girls and having children with them. What negative effects can come about through these forms of unhealthy behaviors?
4.Some negative effects of these unhealthy behaviours are: the child produced may not have the proper psychological care necessary for proper growth because of its young mother and the child may grow up to have neuroses. Also, the young girl in the relationship may be abandoned by her family and may even be left with the burdern of caring for a child at a young age. This will prevent her from becoming educated.
